We joke sometimes that Lowell's First Congregational Church is the "best kept secret" in the community. But the truth is, we've been a staple of Lowell for more than 165 years; with all that history comes wisdom, and we're a church steeped in the ancient wisdom of Christianity.
But here's the thing: it's the 21st Century, and the world needs people of faith who are less "preach-y" and more "do-y." As progressive Christians, we believe that the Christian faith comes alive when we actively seek out justice in our world.
So each Sunday, we gather for prayer, song, study, and reflection that helps us prepare for the work of the week ahead.
Oh, and this is really important - we are proudly an Open & Affirming church - that's a designation given by our denomination, the United Church of Christ, for churches which radically and totally embrace LGBTQIA+ people as equals in every way. You are safe here - you are not alone.
